A female suspect was arrested by police operatives in Guindulman after she was allegedly caught in the act of selling illegal drugs on Tuesday evening.
The alleged drug dealer was identified by authorities as Marcia “Banjat” Maupin, a 33-year-old resident of Barangay Basdio, Guindulman.
Policemen of the town’s Drug Enforcement Unit led by Sr. Insp. Angelito Valleser conducted the sting operation at 11:55 p.m.
Maupin allegedly sold shabu worth P500 while four packets of the illegal substance were also confiscated from the suspect.
Guindulman police said that the suspect has a pending case for violating RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and is in their watch list of drug personalities.
Maupin also reportedly surrendered under Oplan Tokhang on July 4 last year but continued to be involved in illegal drug activities.
Another drug charge is set to be filed before the Tagbilaran City Prosecutor’s Office against the suspect today. (Allen Doydora)
