‘Pusher’ falls in Tagbilaran PNP anti-drug op

An alleged drug pusher was arrested by police in a buy-bust operation in the government’s continued crackdown on drugs.

Suspect Rey “Poloy Kabang” Santarosa, a 25-year-old resident of Upper Calceta, Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City was allegedly caught in the act of selling shabu.

Sanatrosa was reportedly spotted by policemen led by Sr. Insp. Eran Regidor when they were conducting monitoring operations against suspects listed in their drug watch list.

Police said that Santarosa attempted to escape after he allegedly sold sahbu to police poseur-buyer as he ran towards his residence.

The operatives were eventually able to corner the suspect inside the house where they also found three more packets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.

Authorities noted that the confiscated drugs weighed 1.5 grams with an estimated street value of P7,000.

Charges for sale and possession of illegal drugs will be filed against the suspect. (W. Maestrado)
