Polison and Arbilera

An employee of the provincial government’s emergency response unit and a man included in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s (PDEA) watch list were arrested Tuesday afternoon.

Both suspects were collared in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by PDEA agents along Tabaco Street, Barangay Cogon in Tagbilaran City at 3:50 p.m.

Authorities identified the suspects as Almar Arbilera, 19, and Joneses Polison, 27.

According to the PDEA, Arbilera of Tagbilaran City is included in their watch list of drug personalities while Polison of Loon town is employed by the Capitol’s emergency response unit, TARSIER 117.

Arbilera who was with Polison reportedly handed over shabu worth P500 to an undercover agent during the sting operation led by PDEA provincial officer Ferdinand Kintanar.

The operatives were able to confiscate seven other packets of suspected shabu and a bond paper wrapping more of what was believed have been the same substance.

Based on the PDEA’s estimation, the confiscated substances which weighed .30 grams are worth P5,000.

Both suspects are now detained while the seized suspected drugs have been submitted to a crime laboratory while charges against them are being prepared. (Rey Tutas)
