Vice Gov. Dionisio Balite took over as acting governor after Gov. Edgar Chatto left for Canada earlier today to attend the largest gathering of Boholanos in the said country and the United States on July 7 to 9.
Atty. John Mitchell Boiser told the Chronicle that Chatto along with Provincial Board Member Venzencio Arcamo flew to Manila this morning for their connecting flight to Canada.
Chatto will be a guest of honor during the 17th biennial convention of the Confederation of Boholanos in USA and Canada (CONBUSAC) in Toronto.
Meanwhile, Board Member Alexie Tutor confirmed that she has been named acting vice governor.
According to Boiser, Chatto is expected to be back in Bohol next week.
The three-day event for Boholanos will be hosted by the Bohol Association of Canada.
The gathering’s venue is set at the Chelsea Hotel where the Miss Bohol USA & Canada pageant and awarding of outstanding Boholanos and Boholano youths in the US and Canada will be held. (Rey Tutas)
