Two to three storms are projected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this month, said the state weather bureau (PAGASA).
According to PAGASA Bohol officer-in-charge Leonardo Samar, the next tropical cyclone will be the sixth to enter the country this year.
But so far, no major weather disturbances are expected this week, Samar said.
The current heavy rains in the province are due to a prevailing thunderstorm in the area which is likely to last for one to two hours, he added.
Meanwhile, PAGASA in Bohol is currently upgrading its systems as a new building of the agency which will house a Doppler radar is set to be established.
According to Samar, the construction of the structure will commence next month in Albur.
The Doppler radar system is expected to boost the province’s weather forecasting capabilities, Samar said. (AD)
