A 33-year-old man was arrested after he was allegedly caught pointing a pistol at two criminology students at dawn on Saturday.
Authorities identified the suspect as Ariel Estimo, a resident of Uptown, Barangay Ubujan in Tagbilaran City.
In a report, police indicated that cops from the Dauis Police Station chanced upon the suspect who was holding the two victims at gunpoint along CPG Avenue near the Metro Centre Hotel.
The incident happened in the middle of the city’s main thoroughfare, police said.
Victims Raymund Deligero and Mark Joseph Gara, both students of the Bohol Institute of Technology-International College, were also beaten by the suspect.
Both men expressed intent to file charges against the suspect.
Estimo was detained while complaints for illegal possession of firearm and physical injury were set to be filed against him. (WM)
