Napo, Loon wins Sandugo street dancing

The contingent of barangay Napo, Loon, Bohol did it again.

The contingent won grand prize of this year’s Sandugo street dancing, a major highlight of the month-long Sandugo Festival 2017.

 The group of dancers of this coastal barangay pocketed P250,000 from Gov. Chatto and mardi gras organizers.

 It also harvested other prizes such as the Best in Kuradang and “Kuradang King and Queen” for second time and Best in Music as declared by national artist in music Ramon Santos, one of the judges.

 ADVERTISEMENT 

 The contingent of dancers of San Isidro town was adjudged as first runner-up, receiving P200,000 and Pilar town dancers, second runner-up, Php150,000. All runners up received trophies.

 Pilar also clinched the “Best Pair of Datu Sikatuna and Gen. Legaspi” and Best in Costume/Production” having received a total of Php15,000.

 Others contingents include Balilihan, Baclayon, Catigbian, Concepcion, Mabini; San Miguel, Tubigon and Dr. Cecilio Putong High School. (rvo)
