Three male and two female suspects were reportedly arrested during an anti-illegal drug operation in Dauis town on Wednesday dawn.
The suspects were collared in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by Provincial Public Safety Company-Special Weapons and Tactics (PPSC-SWAT) agents at a house rented by one Gerard Garcia.
In a report, police indicated that Garcia was arrested along with Wendel Prado, a married resident of Cortes, after allegedly selling shabu to a poseur-buyer.
Meanwhile, three other persons were also caught inside the buy-bust area.
PPSC-SWAT operative SPO1 Justeofino Hinlayagan identified the suspects as Marito Donalas of Tagbilaran City, Lalaine Mae Palihadh of Batuan and Jinky Estoquia of Panglao.
According to Hinlayagan, the operatives were able to confiscate from the suspects several pieces of sachets containing what was believed to be shabu.
The police were also able to retrieve the marked money used during the sting operation.
All five suspects have been detained at Camp Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City while authorities prepare to file drug charges against them.
