A male person with disability (PWD) was allegedly beaten up by another man inside the LimCua-Juanay Cockpit Arena in Tagbilaran City on Wednesday morning, police said.
Authorities identified the victim as Joel Arniel Jabonillo, a 46-year-old resident of Sitio Union in Barangay Poblacion, Dauis.

Jabonillo was reportedly injured severely with various cuts and bruises all over his body.
In a report, police indicated that Jabonillo was suddenly attacked by one Celestino Namoc, Jr ,27, of Barangay Dao in Tagbilaran without provocation.
The assault on Jabonillo was broken up by a security guard who immediately accosted the suspect, authorities said.
Operatives of the Tagbilaran City police then responded to the incident and arrested Namoc.

According to PO2 Calixto Pinat, “gi kursunadahan ang biktima,” leading to the attack on the PWD. (wm)
