The Department of Energy (DOE) is set to conduct a seminar on the use of auto-liquid petroleum gas (LPG) tomorrow to promote the use of alternative fuels in vehicles for transport.

The DOE, in partnership with the Philippine Information Agency, will be holding the event at the Kew Hotel in Tagbilaran City from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Engineer Loreto Moncada, senior special scientist of the DOE, will be delivering a lecture on the proper use of auto-LPG in efforts to provide fuel-efficiency and lessen emission of harmful gases.

Other DOE officials are also expected to discuss the use of natural gas, particularly by public utility vehicles, and e-jeepneys and e-tricycles powered by ion-lithium batteries.

The one-day seminar is aimed at broadening knowledge on alternative fuels and technologies that are more efficient and environmentally friendly.
