Police are now hunting down two more suspects linked to the killing of former Bien Unido mayor Gisela Bendong Boniel whose murder was allegedly led by husband Bohol Board Member Nino Rey Boniel last June.
Bien Unido police chief Inspector Librado Bigcas told dyRD Balita Friday that a Lapu-Lapu City court last month issued a warrant of arrest for parricide against Lobo Boniel and Allan Delos Reyes.
However, Lobo, a resident of Bien Unido, and Delos Reyes of Talibon are no longer in their homes, said Bigcas.
Both men were reportedly last seen in their respective villages last month and are believed to have gone into hiding after the said charges were filed against them.
According to Bigcas, the Bohol police Provincial Intelligence Branch has been tasked to track both suspects.
Lobo has been tagged as the operator of the pumpboat allegedly used by Nino Rey when he shot and killed Gisela mid-sea before dumping her body in waters off Caubian Island in Lapu-Lapu City.
In August, Lobo was nabbed together with one Brian Sayson in Bien Unido but was released less than 20 hours after as both men’s camp challenged the legality of the arrest.

The duo’s lawyer, Inocencio dela Serna, alleged that his clients were arrested without warrant.
Meanwhile, Gisela’s body is still missing almost five months after it was allegedly dumped in seawaters, but the victim’s family is still optimistic that remains will soon be recovered.
The Bendong family on Thursday held a mass in waters off Lapu-Lapu City and joined authorities in calling for the surrender of suspects in Gisela’s kidnap-slay who remain at large. (A. Doydora)
