Employee alleged of stealing P250K from hotdog distributor nabbed

An employee of a hotdog distributor alleged of stealing P250,000 from his employer was arrested on Sunday by joint police operatives from Inabanga and Tagbilaran City.

Police authorities launched a hot pursuit operation against suspect Sardo Toradio, 23, at his residence in Barangay Bago in Buenavista at around 6 p.m.

In a report, police said that they recovered from the suspect P95,000 believed to have been part of the stolen amount from his Tagbilaran City-based employer, Leah Nunez, 39.

According to Nunez, the money was stolen from inside the hotdog distributor’s warehouse in Barangay San Isidro in Tagbilaran City on November 25.

The money was kept inside a bag and placed on top of Nunez’ table before it went missing as it was allegedly taken by Toradio.

Meanwhile, Torradio has been detained at the Tagbilaran City lock-up jail.
