2 hurt in Clarin disco shooting

Two men including one minor were hit with a single bullet in a shooting incident outside a disco in Clarin town at past 2 a.m. on Friday.

In a report, police indicated that one of the victims, a 17-year-old resident of Barangay Comaang of said town, was hit near his ribcage while the bullet exited through his back.

The same bullet then went straight to the right chest of Von Ryan Tuson, a 28-year-old resident of Barangay Bintig, Calape.

Based on initial police investigation, Tuson and the minor were standing outside the disco at around 2 a.m. when a commotion suddenly broke out.

The still unidentified men who caused the disturbance were then asked to leave the area but a few minutes later, a gunshot was heard and both victims, shortly after, were seen wounded and sprawled on the ground.

Tuson and the 17-year-old were rushed to the Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City where they continue to be treated as of this posting.

Meanwhile, Clarin police noted that the victims may have not been the target of the suspect as the incident transpired in a crowded area.


Investigations are also still ongoing while police have yet to identify the shooter. (ad)
