A man who took part and completed a drug rehabilitation program of the Department of Health (DOH) was arrested by police in Valencia for alleged sale of shabu on Tuesday.

According to Valencia police chief Sr. Insp. Joseph Lopena, suspect Nilo Igar, 34, also surrendered under Oplan Tokhang but continued to conduct illegal drug operations.

In a report, police said that Igar was spotted selling shabu near his home in Barangay Poblacion Oriental early on Tuesday prompting authorities to set up a drug buy-bust against him.

According to police, Igar sold shabu worth P500 to a police poseur-buyer during the staged drug transaction which led to his arrest.

Three more packets of suspected shabu were allegedly found in his possession upon his arrest.

Igar is now detained at the lock-up facility of the Valencia Police Station.

He will be charged for sale and possession of illegal drugs. (wm)
