A 19-year-old alleged drug dealer was arrested in Tagbilaran City on Friday night.
Suspect Keith Bustamante of Barangay Dao in Tagbilaran was taken into police custody after he allegedly sold shabu to an undercover cop during a buy-bust operation.
In a report, police said that the poseur-buyer was able to buy P1,000 worth of illegal drugs from Bustamante through the staged transaction near the suspect’s residence.
Authorities then allegedly found 1.5 grams of shabu worth P22,500 in the suspect’s possession following his arrest.
The sting operation was carried out by operatives of the Tagbilaran police’s drug enforcement unit as part of their Oplan Banat and Double Barrel Reloaded campaigns.
According to Tagbilaran police chief Supt. Patricio Degay, Bustamante is listed in their watch list as a newly identified drug personality.
Bustamante is now detained at the Tagbilaran City Police Station lock-up jail pending the filing of charges against him.
