Two men were allegedly caught in possession of shabu worth P136,000 during an anti-drug operation in Dauis town, police said.
The alleged drug dealers identified as Jeffrey Nistal, 32, and Arsenio Nistal, 52, both Dauis residents, were arrested through a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Mariveles at 11 p.m. on Monday.
In a report, police said that both men sold shabu worth P1,000 to a police poseur-buyer leading to their immediate arrest.
Operatives then found six more packets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 20 grams in the suspects’ possession.
According to Sr. Insp. Jojit Mananquil of the Regional Intelligence Division 7, Jeffrey sourced his shabu supply from suspected big-time drug dealer Nelson Orion who was arrested earlier on the same night.
Orion was allegedly caught in possession of shabu worth P740,000 and arrested along with two alleged cohorts in the drug trade in Barangay Bil-isan, Panglao.
Mananquil said that Orion’s operation was based in Calape but he was transporting his drug supply to Dauis and Panglao through pumpboats.
Orion sourced his shabu supply from Cebu, he added. (W. Maestrado)
