A police raid at a house in Calape town on Sunday yielded P748,000 worth of shabu and resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old elusive drug dealer.

The suspect, identified as Kenneth Malabar of Barangay Sta. Cruz in Calape, was charged before the Bohol Provincial Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday, said SPO3 Fausto Isaw of the Calape Police Station.

Fausto described Malabar as a notorious drug pusher who surrendered under Oplan Tokhang way back in 2016.

“Notorious g’yud ni siya na drug pusher diri sa among area. Surrenderer pud ni sa Tokhang. Gi-monitor unya mingbalik man g’yud,” said Fausto.

Malabar has long been placed under surveillance but he remained elusive as he only dealt with his drug runners, not with buyers.

“Lisod e-buy bust ni kay di ekita, mga runner ra kasagaran iyang tagaan. Di ni siya mo-hatag nimo diretso personal base sa among surveillance, so naka-decide nalang g’yud mi na kuhaan og warrant,” Fausto added.

Police waited for the opportunity to pounce on Malabar and finally served the search warrant after they gathered information indicating that the suspect received a large drug stash.

Fausto said that the drugs seized from Malabar weighed 110 grams.

Meanwhile, police have also been monitoring the reported delivery of drugs from Calape to Dauis, Panglao and Tagbilaran City through pumpboats.

“Dihay nadakpan last year, modus nila diri sila sa Calape pero sila mo itsa sa Calape, igo ra hagbungan sila diri unya siya maoy mo hatod sa Dauis, Tagbilaran,” Fausto said.
