The Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7 is planning to establish three more new license centers across Bohol in addition to the agency’s Tagbilaran City branch, the lone office which issues new driver’s licenses in the province.

According to LTO 7 director Victor Caindec, the Bohol Mega Licensing Center at Alturas Mall in Tagbilaran, LTO Talibon and LTO Garcia Hernandez will already be capable of issuing new driver’s licenses early next year.

“By next year, ang atong target first quarter. Pasabot wala py Marso upat na kabuok ang new license center,” said Caindec.

Caindec said that Bohol has three service centers and one new license center at LTO Tagbilaran.

The LTO’s district office in Jagna used to issue new driver’s licenses but this was stopped when the branch’s operations were temporarily shut down earlier this year.

Additional new license centers are expected to decongest the LTO office in Tagbilaran which has been drawing complaints from the public for its reportedly slow-paced processing.

Meanwhile, the LTO is also looking into possible addition of another office in the province which will be established in Tubigon next year. (AD)
