An alleged drug personality was shot dead on Sunday evening by police officers in Inabanga who responded to complaints made by neighbors of the slain suspect.

According to PO3 Pasiano Petalcorin of the Ingabanga police, they received reports on illegal drug activities being conducted at the residence of suspect Zosimo Macabudbud in Brgy. Uog, Inabanga.

Petalcorin said that an informant led responding policemen to an empty house where Macabudbud was in but the suspect suddenly came out with a .38 caliber firearm and shot at the operatives.

The policemen then fired back and hit Macabudbud multiple times in various parts of his body causing his instantaneous death.

Following the shooting incident, police arrested Macabudbud’s companion identified as Cesario Suarez, a resident of said village.

They found several packets of shabu in the possession of Macabudbud and Suarez, Petalcorin added.

According to the Inabanga police, neighbors of Macabudbud had complained of the suspected sale of drugs in the area and the multiple motorcycles that drop by the suspect’s residence at night. (Allen Doydora)
