An ex-convict listed as among the top drug pushers in Tagbilaran City was allegedly caught in possession of shabu worth P50,000 by combined forces of the Tagbilaran City police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on Wednesday afternoon.

Police identified the suspect as Oliver Estaka, a 37-year-old former inmate of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) who lives in Peñaflor Street, Brgy. Booy, Tagbilaran City.

Estaka was arrested at his home through a buy-bust operation conducted by the police’s drug enforcement unit led by SPO4 Yolando Bagotchay.

Police said that they confiscated shabu with an estimated weight of 15 grams from the suspect.

Despite being included among top alleged drug dealers in Tagbilaran City, authorities tagged the suspect as a newly identified drug personality.

According to police, Estaka was convicted of drug charges in 2015 and was sent to the NBP in Muntinlupa City but was released in the same year.

The suspect did not surrender under Oplan Tokhang, police added. (Allen Doydora)
