A man tagged as a high value target in the Bohol Provincial Police Office’s (BPPO) anti-drug campaign was arrested in Talibon by intelligence officers of Camp Dagohoy on Wednesday afternoon.

Bohol Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) chief Sr. Insp. Jojit Mananquil identified the suspect as Julius Anocop, a 20-year-old resident of Barangay San Jose in Talibon.

According to Mananquil, Anocop yielded 20 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P300,000 during a drug buy-bust operation.

The suspect allegedly sold a small packet of shabu worth 500 to an undercover police officer during the staged drug transaction leading to his immediate arrest.

Mananquil said that Anocop previously surrendered under “Oplan Tokhang” and was out on bail after being charged with illegal gun possession.

Anocop is currently detained at Camp Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City while criminal complaints for violations against Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are to be filed against him. (R. Tutas)
