Re-electionists Mayor Baba Yap and Vice Mayor Toto Veloso will be serving their third and last term until 2022.
Their assumption to their third term will follow after they won by landslide victory during last Monday’s election.
Mayor Yap pooled 43,924 votes against his aunt, Dr. Sharleen Lim who got only 5,770 votes.
Vice Mayor Veloso likewise won by a comfortable lead over Barangay Capt. Arlene Karaan, 34,318 votes while the lady barangay captain garnered 11,652 votes.
His 10-man Sangguniang Panlungsod has two new members who made it to the magic 10.
Topping the elected councilors was newcomer barangay official Tim Butalid, who pooled 34,596. He is the son of former Bohol Gov. Rolando Butalid.
Others who made it to the magic 10 were Adam Jala 32,257; Dodong Gonzaga 32,257; Jonas Cacho, 30,663; Ondoy Borja, 30,127; Agalon Polinar, 29,988; Joseph Bompat, 29,311; Dulce Glovasa, 29,034; Philip Besas, 26,975 and Nerio ZAmora III, 26,521.
