MULTI-VEHICLE DISASTER. A bus, van, truck and an ambulance figure in two accidents in Loay and Loboc on Wednesday afternoon resulting in the death of one man and injury of at least 12 people.

A tourist van driver was killed while over 12 people were injured in two accidents including a consequent head-on collision between an ambulance transporting two victims and a truck on Wednesday.

The fatality, Noel Cuajao, 46, was being transported while still alive to Tagbilaran City on board the ill-fated ambulance after the van he was driving smashed into a bus in Barangay Bon-bon Loboc past 3 p.m.

While zooming through Loay from Loboc, the ambulance reportedly collided head-on with a Canter truck as both vehicles attempted to overtake cars in front of them.

The collision apparently aggravated Cuajao’s and the other victim’s injuries while ambulance driver Rodolfo Lim and rescuers Jeremy Lim, Jose Alito Requeron and Christian Lito Sanchez were also severely hurt.
