According to the recent results of the highly respected Holy Name University Center for Research and Publications Bohol Poll 2015, City Mayor John Geesnell “BABA†Yap’s rating went up by 20 points from last year’s results, an overwhelming majority (91%) were satisfied with his performance as City Mayor, while (3%) were undecided and a few (6%) were dissatisfied, which resulted to an Excellent net satisfaction rating of +85. As for the other performance indicators of the City Government, the results were also higher compared to 2014, clearly showing that Mayor Yap is indeed sincere in his wholehearted efforts of uplifting our beloved City of Tagbilaran.
The survey showed strengthened confidence to the Local Chief Executive’s administration. Yap, a staunch believer of transparency and accountability in governance, has steadily gained momentum in his term upon the City Mayor’s implementation of relevant initiatives which directly enhanced the life of Tagbilaranons. Prominent of which were the Rationalized Road Repair/Concreting and Streamlined Operations in the City Treasurer’s Office, City Assessor’s and City Economic Enterprises which eventually resulted to dramatic increases in revenues. The local increased income automatically allocated a bigger share to the Special Education Fund, which greatly benefitted the students in the City.
