Boholanos will join the nation in commemorating the 117th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence on June.
Gov. Edgar M. Chatto issued a memorandum advisory enjoining all provincial officials, including devolved hospital chiefs, and employees to lead the Boholanos in the observance.
The commemoration will start with a eucharistic celebration at St. Joseph Cathedral in Tagbilaran City at 7:15 in the morning.
After the mass, there will be simultaneous ringing of church bells, blowing of horns and sounding of sirens, followed by wreath laying and commemorative program at Plaza Rizal.
Chatto had issued Executive Order No. 14 Series of 2014 calling for the display of the national flag in all public buildings, commercial establishments and other appropriate areas within the province from June 1 to June 30 and every year thereafter. (EDCom/Jay)
