The application for tuition fee increase of Holy Name University (HNU) was approved by government in time for last Monday’s opening of classes in private schools.
Fr. Cyrus T. Mercado, HNU vice president for finance, told The Chronicle that the approved increase for college by CHED was 5% while for Kinder, Grades 1 to 10 by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports was 3%.
The twin approval by CHED and DEPed clarified earlier reports which stated that the tuition fee hike was 26%.
Fr. Mercado corrected such report of the university’s tuition fee hike.
