Liberal Party’s presidential bet, former DILG Sec. Mar Roxas will make a short visit here today.
He is slated to arrive shortly before 10 this morning from Dumaguete City as his provincial sortie in the Visayas picks up this month.
From the Tagbilaran City Airport, Roxas will talk to the Boholanos during an exclusive radio interview over dyRD after 10 this morning.
The “pambato” of “Daang Matuwid” will proceed to Trinidad town where some 1,300 local officials await the LP standard bearer during an event dubbed as “Daghang Salamat, Mar Roxas, Padayon Bol-anon” to be led by Gov. Edgar Chatto.
He will be expected by past 11 o”clock this morning at the Trinidad gymnasium where he will be met by Mayor Baby Cajes and husband, former Rep. Roberto Cajes.
Political observers told The Chronicle that the visit of Roxas is part of the “loyalty check” done among LP members in the provincial areas, including Bohol where the ruling LP is met with the political crisis where some of its members jumped to the other party, even as their presidential bet remains to be Roxas.
