A man riddled with tattoos was found dead with gunshot wounds in a bushy area of Barangay Sta. Catalina in Sagbayan early morning yesterday.
PSInsp. Aniceto Alipoyo, officer-in-charge of Sagbayan Police Station, said the responding police team found the victim handcuffed and his head covered with a black t-shirt.
He was later identified as Rogelio Aceron, a 38-year-old resident of Barangay Magsaysay, Sierra-Bullones.
The victim has a Batman tattoo on his right leg and several other tattoos on different parts of his body.
Investigators believed he died from gunshot wounds in his left chest and the head.
Close to where his body was found, the scene of the crime operatives found two empty shells of a 9mm ammunitions.
Alipoyo said they received a call from the barangay captain of Sta. Catalina, Sagbayan at around 8:50 a.m. yesterday, informing about a man believed to be dead already found at purok 2 of their village.
Upon arriving at the crime scene, Alipoyoâ€™s team found the victim lying on the bushy area.
They found out later that at around 6 a.m. yesterday, residents nearby heard a burst of gunfire coming from a shrubby area.
After being examined by the municipal health officer of Sagbayan, Dr. Dewey Demandante, the victimâ€™s body was brought to ARBE Funeral Homes.
They reported it to the barangay captain, and they later found the victimâ€™s body.
Based on follow-up investigation, PO3 Anthony Vistal of Sagbayan Police Station said the victim must have been pulled out from his house and was brought to Sagbayan where he was shot to death.
SPO4 Samuel Diaz Nacua leads the investigation to determine the motive of the killing.
