behold boholWith barely few weeks away from summer vacation, Boholanos are asked to spread the invitation for their kins and friends to explore and enjoy Bohol during the vacation which is expected to be giving hot, sunny days.

The call was issued by Rep. Rene Relamlagos, House chairman of the committee on tourism, who echoed the advocacy that Boholanos should  see for themselves the several good destinations in the province.

“You can not promote what you haven’t seen  and experienced for yourself,” the solon said thus urging Boholanos to start realizing and appreciating the fact that they are blessed to live in a place which is considered by many as a world class destination.

“We have such a beautiful island paradise waiting to be explored.  I hope that while some look forward to visiting other places, we also not forget to see and experience the many beautiful sites we have here in Bohol,” the lawmaker said in a statement.      Rep  Relampagos of the first congressional district asked his kababayans to consider exploring Bohol first especially this summer vacation.

Relampagos told The Chronicle in his assessment, the province has improved its tourist influx two years after the 7.2 earthquake.  Moreover, the province has been proving to be a “stand alone” destination, meaning, tourists need not go to other places like Cebu or Boracay if they want to have a vacation.

He cited the high-profile wedding of Ana Roxas-Ojeda, niece of Liberal Party standard bearer Mar Roxas, and Joey Osmeña, son of Senator Serge Osmeña, took place early this year in the island of Panglao. President Noynoy Aquino evensaid in a media interview that he is excited to visit Bohol after stepping down from office while citing the province as a very ideal place for a honeymoon.

On the other hand, just last week, many Boholanos were thrilled watching popular soap operaDolce Amore as it aired the scenes shot here in the province.

“Bohol has been garnering much attention now which would interest many people to visit our island paradise.  I have my eyes set on greater possibilities and better outcome for Bohol in terms of tourism,” Relampagos concluded.
