The 451st anniversary of the historic Blood Compact will be observed today with the capsule laying for the Bohol Friendship Park in barangay Bo-ol, this city.
City Mayor John Gessnell Yap will lead the capsule laying together with Gov. Edgar Chatto and Rep. Rene Relampagos. The project will momentarily commence with initial funds from Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA).
Today’s Blood Compact anniversary will also be the grand launching of the “Saulog Tagbilaran 2016”.
A floral dedication to the Blood Compact Shrine will be held at 7 o’clock this morning to be followed by a Thanksgiving Mass at the St. Vincent Ferrer Parish Church with Rev. Fr. Manuel Mendez as officiating priest.
A commemorative program will be held at 8:15 this morning with Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Veloso to deliver the welcome address.
Mayor Yap, Gov. Chatto and Rep. Relampagos will deliver their respective messages.
City Kagawad Adam Jala will deliver the closing remarks.
