“Nganong gipangita man ninyo ang buhi diha sa mga patay? Wala na siya dinhi! Nabanhaw siya! (Lukas 24: 5-6)
Ang pagkabanhaw ni Jesus Cristo naghatag ug kahulugan sa atong pagtoo. Kawang ug walay pulos ang atong pagtoo kaniya kon siya nagpabilin nganha sa lubnganan. Pinaagi sa iyang pagkabanhaw gidaug niya ang kamatayon. Gikan sa mangitngit nga lubnganan siya migula ug nabuhi…mihatag sa kahayag sa kinabuhi. Gidaug niya ang kamatayon ug ang kangitngit kay alang kang Jesu Cristo dili kamatayon ang angay kanato kon dili kinabuhi.
We deserve to live and not to die. It is His plan for all of us to live life to the fullest. We are special, we are important and we are valuable to Him that He did not allow death to conquer us. Our Christian life did not end on Good Friday it culminated on Easter Sunday. We are not people of sorrow and death; we are people of joy and life. WE LIVE BECAUSE HE CONQUERS DEATH FOR US. WE TOO CAN RISE FROM OUR OWN DARKNESS, FROM OUR DEATH TO SIN – TOWARDS NEW LIFE IN CHRIST.
Let us become people of the RESURRECTION by becoming life giving individuals. Let us promote life from womb to tomb; for everyone deserves to live. LET US SAY NO TO DEATH PENALTY, EXTRA JUDICIAL KILLINGS, EUTHANASIA and LEGALIZING ABORTION. Let us respect life by respecting our “common home†our Mother Earth ravage by pollution in all forms, raped by illegal logging, maligned by illegal fishing, illegal mining and quarrying, killed slowly by toxic wastes and garbage thrown anywhere. Let us preserve life by saying NO to illegal DRUGS and prevent its proliferation in our society. Let us promote life by properly educating our children in the Christian faith.
Above all, let us respect life by respecting each other’s right to vote. PLEASE DON’T TRAMPLE ON OUR RIGHT TO VOTE BY BUYING OUR VOTES. WE BELIEVE IN ONE GOOD VOTE, WE SAY NO TO VOTE BUYING AND VOTE SELLING. “KON IMO MING PALITON, DILI KA NAMO PILION.†DILI BALIGYA ANG AMONG BOTO UG KAUGMAON. HIGUGMAA ANG DIOS PINAAGI SA PAGHIGUGMA SA IMONG NASOD, AYAW IBALIGYA ANG IMONG BOTO. We deserve to live because Christ died for us…this is our battle cry for we believe in GOD who told us to VOTE WISELY!
