Korea-Bohol flights are targeted to debut on May 1 next year.

Seungkyu Park, chief strategy officer, Rakso Holdings Co. Ltd., PAL Korea General Sales Agent confirmed this to Gov. Edgar Chatto in a meeting this afternoon at the People’s Mansion.

In the same meeting was Philippine Airlines Assistant Vice President/Commercial and Business Development PAL Express Rabbi Ang, PAL Bohol Manager Emma Caseñas, and BCCI President Engr. Albert Uy.

Four times weekly flights from Incheon (Seoul), Korea to Bohol will be available beginning May 1 next year. Later on, PAL intends to also add flights from Busan twice a week.

Marketing for the flights will start in January.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines has approved infrastructure improvement at the city airport which will be handled by PAL. The bidding for this has been done and work will commence this month, PAL said.

PAL also said they are fast tracking arrangements for fueling system as well as Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine offices.

The inaugural flight could even be earlier, depending on infrastructure work and arrangements, they added.
