The two-day caucus meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will push through on Thursday after the aborted attempt of the Abu Sayaff to have its base of operations here in their kidnapping and bombing activities.

Gov. Edgar Chatto said the Inter-sessional Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Trade Negotiating Committee ASEAN Caucus Meeting will open on Thursday at Hennan Resort in Panglao.

He said the historic hosting of the event was extended full support in its preparations by the provincial government which is taking the rare chance to further promote Bohol as an ideal venue for both international and local events.

Attending the meeting are representatives from the countries of  Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei and host country, Philippines.
