A seaman who was visiting his girlfriend at her house in Tagbilaran City lost money, a cellphone and even his clothes to suspected “akyat-bahay” suspects on Friday dawn.

Victim Michael Leo Angcog, 24, of Barangay Poblacion, Bilar told police that the burglars stole from him an Iphone, cash worth P1,500 and $100 or approximately P5,000, and two pairs of pants.

According to Angcog, he woke up at around 3:40 a.m. and found out that the items and cash were already missing.

The suspects may have entered the house while he and his girlfriend were sleeping, said Ancog.

Meanwhile, police officers of the Tagbilaran City Police Station’s theft and robbery section have been tasked to conduct follow-up investigations on the case. (wm)
