Tagbilaran City makes a record as the first city in the world to be consecrated to Jesus through Mary.

This was bared by Archt. Marie Borromeo Cancio, president of The New Earth of Love, Peace and Joy Foundation, Inc. based in Manila.   

The official consecration will be done at the St. Joseph Cathedral on May 13. Bishop Leonardo Medroso will officiate the consecration during a Holy Mass at the cathedral, 8:00 in the morning. At 8 in the evening will be the citywide recitation of the Holy Rosary of which the prayers will be done at the studios of dyRD-AM, Kiss 102.3Kiss FM as residents will be glued on their radio sets to recite with the prayer.

Starting tomorrow, a minute-prayer will be aired over dyRD thrice a day as preparation for the day of consecration.

City Mayor Baba Yap expressed deep elation for the city having been chosen to be the first city in the world to be consecrated to Jesus through Mary

The consecration will declare the faith by saying “one heart, one soul, one God, one nation, fulfilling our destiny to be the new earth, of love, peace and joy.”

The program is dubbed as  “TCJM,” meaning Total Consecration to Jesus through Mart.” It carried five points: Perfect Devotion(TCJM leads you to die to yourself and allow Mama Mary to shape you into Jesus,” Plan of Salvation, (with Mary as the mediatrix of all grace,” Protection from Great Tribulation; Prophecy (My nation, I will use you to bring all nations back to Me.,”Pass to Paradise.

Some testimonies in areas after the consecration was done: 500 families in a coastal village of Iligan prayed YCJM daily . Their homes were untouched during typgoon Sendong while most houses 200 meters from them were swept away by thousand so logs; Genoveva was scheduled for arm amputation due to cancer. After TC JM in their family, only a mass was removed  instead of her leg.
