Aumentado lines up board member bets

With the filing of certificates of candidacies barely four months away, Rep. Aris Aumentado has made early political consultations to fill up the three slots for provincial board members in his district.

A group composed of incumbent mayors and former mayors convened to pick their bets for board members calling them as the “ABC” triumvirate which stands for Prov’l Board Member Tommy Abapo, Bien Unido Mayor Rey Boniel and Donglee Camacho.
The group which has Aumentado as its re-electionist congressman in the district has no governor and vice governor as of the present. The solon is a member of the National People’s Coalition (NPC).

The decision was also considered since of the incumbent board members, only incumbent BM Abapo has remained loyal to Aumentado’s group. BM Gerardo “Gerry” Garcia has decided to join the camp of Gov. Edgar Chatto. In fact, Garcia is reportedly aiming to run against Aumentado as congressman in the 2nd district.
Mayor Boniel of Bien-Unido town will end his term as mayor thus shifting to a higher post in the provincial leadership. He is the son of former mayor Cosme Boniel.
Donglee Camacho, who is one of Aumentado’s trusted lieutenants is the son of former board member Dr. Tanny Camacho who served for two terms before he died of lingering ailment.
