Drug runner in Duero nabbed in buy-bust

Another drug runner in Duero suspected of working for one of the two warring drug rings in Bohol has been caught in yesterday’s buy-bust operation.

The municipal police team of Duero arrested one Jayson Solon during a buy-bust operation at around 2:15 a.m. on December 26 in Barangay San Antonio.

SPO2 Dionilo Loro Tapang, who led the police team, said the arrested person is only 22 years old, single and a resident of Barangay Madua Sur in Duero.

The municipal police team conducted the buy-bust operation in coordination with the Bohol team of PDEA.

Tapang’s team comprised of PO3 Jonathan Deloso, PO1 Reynaldo Caduyac, PO1 Chospel Macala and PO1 Patrick Mende, under the supervision of the municipal chief of police—PInsp. Sinforiano Abayabay.

Tapang’s team caught Solon handing a small sachet of shabu to a poseur-buyer in exchange of the 500-peso bill used as marked money.

The cops also confiscated the unregistered Honda Wave motorcycle that Solon used in the transacting with the poseur-buyer.

Solon was informed of his constitutional rights and was immediately brought to the Duero police station for proper disposition.

The inventory was also conducted at the police station in the presence of Barangay Kagawads Narciso Rances and Windy Sarmiento, and DyRD’s Anthony Aniscal.

A case now for violation of Republic Act 9165, under section 5 of Article II is now being prepared for filing against the arrested person.
