Easter is God’s blessing to all of us. It is His way of telling us that, love and hope still exists in this world.

As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I call on Filipinos irrespective of faith and ethnic background, to draw inspiration from the exemplary life of love, humility and self sacrifice of Jesus–especially the victims of war, natural disasters and injustice; and those who are experiencing hardships in life–may the message of salvation provide us enough strength to go on with life in the midst of seeming hopelessness.

Let the resurrection of Christ be a constant reminder to all of us that this country deserves salvation– victory over poverty and inequality. The Philippines deserves leaders who can dedicate themselves to nation building, who can stand for truth and justice and who can be our source of hope for a better tomorrow.
