US based Boholano bizman praises DU30

MadanguitBarely a month after his assumption as President, there are already visible indications of the so-called “change” being advocated by the Duterte administration.

US based Boholano businessman Gerardo “Gerry” Madanguit was surprised to experience a smooth transaction of his documents at the Manila offices of the Bureau of Customs and at the Bureau of International Revenue.

Madanguit who is an importer of trucks from the United States told The Chronicle that instead of the usual one week processing of papers, he was able to claim his import accreditation permit from the Bureau of Customs for less than a day, He likewise experienced the same for his clearance at the BIR offices.

On top of the fast tracking of his documents, Madanguit confided that he was no longer asked with the usual under the table deal  which he admitted amounted to no less than P50,000 during previous transactions.

“I feel proud to be a Filipino after experiencing such tremendous change,” Madanguit said.

The statement of the Boholano businessman came identical with observations at the entry points of Manila airports where the processing of Visas at the Bureau of Immigration is now a lot faster compared before. Many balikbayans said they have not heard of any “tong” collection at the airport since the assumption of President Duterte.
