Dr. Jackson elected CONBUSAC prexy

TORONTO, Canada. –  Dr. Anita Cal Jackson of Tagbilaran City was elected president  of the Confederation of Boholanos  United States and Canada, Inc. (CONBUSAC) during elections held last night at the Rosetti Function Room of Chelsea Hotel here.

She will succeed Dr. Rhine Pamaong. Ms. jackson is based in California, USA.

The election was held as part of the 17th Biennial Convention of CONBUSAC attended by some 400 Boholanos coming from all over the USA and Canada.

Other officers elected were Dr. Romeo Sinajon, senior vice president; Corazon Supulveda, regional VP for Southern California, Wilma Santillano, VP for Northern California; Edward Lacerna, VP for West Canada; Rick Aranas, VP for East Canada; Lorenzo Galang, VP for Southwest USA; Josephine Sarabosing, VP for Eastern USA; Lorelei Uym VP for Southeastern; Cleofe Lamdagan, VP for Northwestern USA.

Dr. Sinajon is currently the president of the Bohol Association of Canada.

Meanwhile, David Fabiosa is the chairman of the Tigum Bol-anon sa Tibook Kalibutan (TBTK).

Gov, Edgar M. Chatto who is attending the convention will induct today the new CONBUSAC officers during the Gala Night held at the Churchchill Ballroom. (Bong Dejaresco, Chronicle USA correspondent)
