Boholano travelers, including incoming tourists will be affected once the APEC Summit opens in Manila in Nov. 16.
A check made by The Chronicle showed that no less than 20 flights are cancelled starting Nov. 16. This cancellation of flights is due to tight security at the various airports in Manila with the arrival and departure of chief of state of the various countries attending the APEC Summit.
Twenty flights from Manila and back are confirmed cancelled as of yesterday while more cancellations are expected in the succeeding bulletins coming from Philippine Airlines, Air Asia and Cebu Pacific.
These 20 flights are among the 300 domestic and international flights already cancelled.
The cancelled flights in the Manila-Tagbilaran-Manila route are:
For Cebu Pacific, Flts. 5J621/622 on Nov. 16-18 and Flt.5J617/618 on Nov. 20.
For Air Asia, Flts. Zz 355 and 351 on Nov 18, Zz353 on Nov. 19 and 20.
For PAL, their last flight in the afternoon is cancelled on Nov. 17 and 19.
