Police conduct inventory of shabu allegedly seized from Juan Camporedondo before he tried to escape by jumping off the Loboc Police Station’s third floor at around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.

A man believed to be high on drugs jumped off the third floor of the Loboc Police Station after his arrest for selling shabu at past 1 a.m. on Saturday.

Suspect Juan Camporedondo sustained head injuries and was brought to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City for immediate medical treatment.

In a report, police said that Caporedondo urinated after authorities conducted an inventory of drugs seized from him.

Caporedondo who was still in handcuffs then bolted from the restroom and fled from his two police escorts. He went up to the station’s third floor and jumped off.

According to police, he initially landed on the roof of the station’s pantry but slipped causing him to fall on the pavement at the ground floor and bump his head.

Caporedondo previously surrendered under Oplan Tokhang and momentarily ended his involvement in the illegal drug trade but allegedly resumed selling shabu in Loboc, particularly in Poblacion Sawang.

Prior to Caporedondo’s escape attempt, he was subjected to a drug buy bust operation wherein he allegedly sold shabu worth P1,500 to a poseur-buyer.

He was also caught in possession of six more sachets of suspected shabu, police said.
