An 83-year-old man was killed after he was accidentally rammed by a motorcycle in Loay on Wednesday afternoon.
Police identifed the fatality as Cornelio Sanchez, of Barangay Calunasan Norte, Loboc.
According to PO1 Mcmurthy Galapin, Rey Anthony Quim, 27, failed to notice Sanchez as the latter was crossing the road in Barangay Poblacion, Loay.
Quim had just overtaken another vehicle when he slammed straight into Sanchez, said Galapin.
Sanchez reportedly had just collected his pension when he was rammed by the motorcycle.
He was still rushed to the Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City where he was treated for his injuries.
However, Sanchez succumbed to his injuries two hours after reaching the hospital.
Meanwhile, a reckless imprudence resulting to homicide case is set to be filed against Quim on Thursday.
Quim remained detained at the Loay lock-up jail. (A. Doydora)
