New Bohol Comelec chief assumes post for 2019 polls

A new chief of the Commission on Election s (Comelec) in Bohol assumed office last Friday as part of the nationwide reshuffling of the poll body’s provincial supervisors in time for the elections slated in May 2019.

Atty. Eddie Aba was designated new chief of the Bohol Comelec as its former head Atty. Eliseo Labaria was ordered to assume the post of Aba as Comelec supervisor in Negros Oriental.

The two swapped assignments upon order from Comelec central office in Manila.  Labaria will report to his new assignment in Dumaguete City on Thursday.

Labaria was assigned in Siquijor during the 2013 election and in Cebu in 2016.

Malou Cempron, election assistant II of the Bohol Comelec, was directed to stay in her post until June this year.

Meanwhile, Cebu Provincial Comelec Supervisor Atty. Lionel Marco Castillano was assigned to assume as Siquijor Comelec head, replacing Atty. Jerome Brillantes who was moved to Cebu Comelec.
