The Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Bohol Council is thankful to the province’s First District Representative Rene Lopez Relampagos who made way for the council’s prioritization of its rehabilitation project under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

In a letter dated May 25, 2015 with BSP Council Scout Executive Hermes T. Angoy, the BSP Bohol Council expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Congressman Relampagos after a discussion with DPWH First Engineering District took place between the agency and the council regarding the portions of the BSP Building that would be prioritized in the said rehab project.

The cost of the project is one million pesos.

Relampagos, an Executive Board Member of the Boy Scout Bohol Council, said that the rehabilitation of the BSP Building has become a dire need considering its present state.

“The rehabilitation of the BSP building is needed to ensure that we may be able to serve our stakeholders in the most optimal way possible,” Relampagos said in a statement.

He added: “The BSP Building is not just the home of the BSP Bohol Council but is home to all our boy scouts.  This rehabilitation project will greatly help the council in furthering its service, especially in producing quality scouts in the province.”

The Congressman also expressed his thanks to the DPWH First Engineering District for the positive response over his request.
