Bohol Wisdom School has garnered a number of wins during the Tagbilaran City Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held last October 1 and 2, 2015 at Dr. CecilioPutong National High School. It was participated in by the public and private elementary and secondary institutions of the city.
In the elementary level, reigning the 1st place are Vince Raphael Alemania for Sports Writing –English and Ana ManuelleAnore for Copyreading and Headline Writing – English. Garnering the 2nd place are Nicola Julia Avergonzado for Feature Writing – English, Venice Ruth Abarado for Photojournalism – Filipino, Ivann John Roxas for Editorial Cartooning – English, and Rugeo Kyle Acero for Editorial Cartooning – Filipino.Jerusha Miura and Michael Paul Racho claimed the 3rd place in News Writing – English and Sports Writing – Filipino respectively.Jeryn Claudette Portrias obtained the 4th place in News Writing – Filipino andMaria GlenetteAngelieTagaan got the 5th place in Science and Technology Writing – Filipino.
The secondary level writers also brought home the bacon as they etched their names to the winning spots. Dominating the 1st place are Rhea Mae Arcales for Editorial Writing – English, Jake Laurence Dalagan forCopyreading and Headline Writing – Filipino, and MarmeeMatheaAmistoso for Feature Writing – English.Acing the 2nd place are Ed Jericho Palapar and Guadalupe Marie Chatto for Photojournalism – Filipino and Editorial Cartooning – Filipino correspondingly. 3rd place recipients are Angelica May Binangbang for Feature Writing – Filipino, JayanDerikaLerion for Copyreading and Headline Writing – English, Dann Audrey Cadenas for Sports Writing – Filipino, and Bill Jesus Busaco for Science and Technology Writing – English. While Dhayan Angelika Go and Angelica Gail Elman were ranked 4th place of Sports Writing – English and News Writing – Filipino respectively.
The victorious writers shall represent the Tagbilaran City Division in the Regional Press Conference at Bogo City, Cebu sometime this December. They shall again undergo through a rigorous training and preparation for the said competition with the guidance of Mr. Billy O. Cosares, Director of the BWS Publication, and Miss Nesie Fe G. Binatero, Assistant Director of the BWS Publication.
