With the year 2015 coming to a close, Rep. Rene Lopez Relampagosis now looking forward to 2016 with optimism and fervor.

In a statement, Relampagos expressed his hopes of 2016 being a much better year for Bohol, a vision which, according to him, will be achieved through the collaborative efforts of Boholanos.

“Having been in the government service for quite some time, I have seen how far Bohol has come.  It is now one of the country’s premiere tourism destinations, we have grown economically over the past years, and we are progressing year after year.  We have achieved this because of different sectors working hard in order to uplift Bohol from being a sleepy province to where it is now and I think we can continue to achieve our goal of creating a better Bohol if we continue to work together as one province,”Relampagos shared.

He also reminisced on how Bohol was able to rise from the rubbles left by the Great Bohol Earthquake in 2013.  He said that the Boholanos’ “positivity, resilience, and bayanihan spirit has been lauded by Filipinos and other nationalities.”

“It’s been two years since we experienced the unimaginable and here we are, creating much more possibilities for everyone while rebuilding our province.  We owe this to each and every Boholano who manifested the heroic qualities that we all have.  This, I believe is the reason why we are going further and standing still.”

On his end, Relampagos said that he will keep doing his job as a legislator and as a public servant this 2016.

“Boholanos deserve only the best and I will work tirelessly in order to bring to my constituents the best.  I will continue to fulfill my commitment to the people because I owe this progressive Bohol to them,” the solon expressed.
