The Department of Education (DepEd) has reactivated the Election Task Force (ETF) to assist teachers who will serve as members of the Board of Election Inspectors (BEI).

According to DepEd Bohol Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Wifreda Bongalos, the ETF, as provided by DepEd Memorandum No. 65 series of 2013, the ETF will ensure that teachers shall be provided with adequate information, technical and legal assistance in the performance of their duties as members of the BEI.

The ETF will also assist school principals, supervisors, superintendents and other DepEd employees who will serve during the May 9, 2016 local and national elections.

According to Bongalos, the ETF, in addition to their mandate, will oversee the extent of preparations involving the use of classrooms during election day and the Final Testing and Sealing (FTS) of the Voter Counting Machines (VCM) on Friday, May 6, 2016.
