Bishop Leonardo Medroso of the Diocese of Tagbilaran appealed to his parishioners to vote for candidates that have exhibited during the campaign period character, honesty and transparency.
Medroso aired his appeal on DYRD Cooperative Bank of Bohol 7AM News anchored by Fred Araneta and Glee Orcullo this morning, Monday, May 9, 2016.
“We should vote freely and vote according to our conscience”, Medroso said, adding “our conscience should be based on our Gospel values and we should choose candidates with moral integrity”.
Medroso stressed that winning candidates should have the interest of all–allies and foes–and should show mercy and compassion for all.
The predominantly Catholic province will vote today for the national and local officials who will chart the future of the country. (Chito M. Visarra)
