4 of 9 media men win council seats

As the general election vote count winds down, the victors have become more apparent and among them in the province of Bohol are members of media.

Of the nine media men who joined the local race, four were successful in their political bids. The winners clinched seats in their respective town councils.

Tito Libatona of DYTR who ran under the Liberal Party (LP) secured a seat in Balilihan, independent candidate Anthony Aniscal of DYRD in Jagna, United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) candidate Rosendo Guingguing of DYTR in Baclayon, and Tuburcio Bullecer Jr who is also an LP member of DYRD in Loay.

Other media men candidates lost in the polls and also sought to be councilmen.

Michael Ligalig of the Bohol Tribune and Fred Amora of DYTR who both ran under the LP lost in Anda and Guindulman, respectively, Padayon Demokratiko-Laban candidate Ern Pahayahay of DYTR in Dauis, independent candidate Sofronio Narisma of Tribune in Baclayon, and Jeremias Pabe of DYRD in Tagbilaran.
